BECOME A TJRAA MEMBER
Texas Junior Red Angus Association is represented by young men and women ages 9 to 21 that raise and exhibit Red Angus cattle and live in the State of Texas. TJRAA has one of the largest Red Angus junior memberships in the nation. With the increasing demand for Red Angus genetics, our membership continues to grow.
JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP – $20
- Ages up to 21 as of September 1 of calendar year
TJRAA SCHOLARSHIP
The Texas Red Angus Association is pleased to award 3 college scholarships from the Texas Red Angus Association Memorial Legends Scholarship Fund. The following criteria will be used to determine eligibility:
- Applicant must be a current TJRAA member in good standing.
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior with definite plans to enroll in post-secondary education for the fall term of 2026. Scholarship will be paid upon receipt of proof of enrollment.
- Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered. Applications must be emailed and received by 11:59 p.m. Central Time June 1, 2026 -11:59PM.
- Applicant must have been a TJRAA member in good standing for the past 2 consecutive years.
Completed applications include:
- Typed Application
- Resume
- GPA, Current Standing
- Two Letters of Reference

It is a vital part of the Texas Red Angus Association mission to encourage and mentor Juniors and enhance their ability to be successful in all their endeavors. The opportunity to attend university, community college, vocational or trade school may only be a dream to many of our youth. Our Texas Red Angus Legends recognized the need for scholarship assistance many years ago, and over time money has been donated to perpetuate a fund specifically for this purpose.
By donating to this scholarship fund you help to continue providing scholarships each year to extraordinary young Red Angus enthusiasts with the drive and motivation to become highly successful contributors to society. If you would like to participate in becoming a Provider of Dreams, contact any of the Board members for additional information. The inaugural Texas Legends Junior Red Angus scholarship was awarded in June 2020 to Miss Holly Thomas of Gatesville, Texas.
